Learn Everyday ways to inner peace.

With Mindful, Self-led Awareness. (Your Effortless Being.)

"The false nature of thought becomes totally obvious, in a very immediate and personal way that is not just an idea that we have heard."

Tulku Urygen Rinpoche, writing in 'Rainbow Painting':

"Self is within us, around us, and is us: it is who we truly are."

Loch Kelly, writing in 'The Way of Effortless Mindfulness':

About Paul Warren

With a strong foundation in Counselling/Psychotherapy (BACP qualified), I blend the modality of person-centered counselling with Buddhist non-duality, Effortless Mindfulness and Parts work (IFS), to enable you to heal and move forward from your authentic Self / true nature.

Sessions Offered

Individual, 1-to-1 sessions

My way of working combines an open-minded, compassionate therapy dialogue, with effortless mindfulness, Parts work and self-compassion. Through this you'll discover effective, accessible ways to ground yourself, drop out of your head, and begin to understand yourself as a whole, rather than the individual parts (the unconscious patterns/modes we get pulled into).

This will allow the locus of your identity to shift to the awareness of what is happening, rather than feeling lost in the content (able to watch the river, not get swept along by it). Put another way, you'll learn to operate from Self not the Parts, from your true nature, not the unconscious patterns. No beliefs are necessary, only openness and curiosity.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are offered via video call (Zoom), audio call (Zoom or WhatsApp). Please email me for further details.

My Approach

Trust and Confidentiality

I work in accordance with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (UK) Ethical Framework (2026). And the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

Empathy and Compassion

Empathy and Compassion are the foundation for how I work. Both the deeper empathy I'll offer you as a compassionate listener and sounding board. And a Mindful Compassion outlook on your relationship with yourself (the parts of the psyche/ego) and with others.

Personalized (person-centered) Care

While I come from a particular philosophical and spiritual view—that we each have a true nature, a 'heart space', or Self (IFS) —my approach is client-centered. I aim to meet you where you are, whether your needs are practical and therapeutic or perhaps as a spiritual seeker, with existential questions to explore.

Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

‘Talk-therapy’ style counselling sessions (person-centred). Mindfulness coaching and exploration sessions—for example, addressing specific issues such as anxiety or panic attacks. In-depth spiritual discussions from a well-being and existential / 'seeker' point of view.

How to schedule an appointment & What does it cost?

You can either email me directly or contact me via my UK Counselling Directory Profile. If I feel I can help, I'll offer a free 30-minute video consultation, where we can discuss whether I’m the right person to support you, and go forward from there. I charge £50 per session.

What can I expect during a therapy session?

In a therapeutic session with me, you can expect a safe, compassionate, and confidential space. I’ll listen carefully to begin with, and then together we’ll plan a way forward. There will also be the potential to discuss practical tools, mindfulness practices and psychological coping methods.
